SWOMO (AKA: Swolen Monkey Showcase)
I’m currently co-president of SWOMO, Emerson College’s only longform improv AND sketch troupe! After auditioning my first semester freshman year, I’ve overseen the production of three hour-long shows each semester for a packed audience from conception to completion. Besides performing on stage, I also manage the troupe by scheduling auditions, organizing rehearsals, booking venues, and promoting shows on social media.
Swomo has been a mainstay in the Emerson comedy scene since it’s founding in 1985! Some notable alumni include Anthony Atamunik (Broad City, 30 Rock, The President Show) and Daniel Scheinert (Swiss Army Man, Everything Everywhere All At Once). Comex Improv Ensemble 2026
This April, I’ll be performing as an improviser in ComEx! Comex! is two-day festival that showcases Emerson’s best and boldest comedic voices. Tickets are free and required for entry!
I’ll be in The Improv Experience, directed by Erin Schwall. It is led by ensemble of student performers who will spend the semester working on character, genre, game, and both short and long form improv. The cast will create a one-hour improv showcase to be performed at ComEx! on Saturday, April 11th.
